    1. Casual. Skirt or jeans both welcome. Flat shoes are generally best. Hard to dance contra in heels.

  2. Hi! Dow the beginner instruction start before the dance at 7:30? Or should we come earller? What kind of shoes and attire are worn!

    1. Oh sorry, forgot about the shoes:
      From the FAQ page: “Comfortable, soft soled shoes are recommended because they will be easy on your feet and easy on our floors. We do request that you not wear your street shoes — please bring dry, clean shoes to change into for dancing.”

    Beginner instruction starts before the dance at 7:15.

    There is no dress code, you can wear anything that won’t get you arrested! Jeans are common, as are skirts and dresses.

    Hope you can make it!
